Wedding diys.

With my recent engagement I have become quite fixated on looking at pictures and posts of beautiful wedding decor. One thing's for certain I never really have been interested in anything wedding related before but as a lover of all things pretty, design and craft I have a new found interest in wedding DIYS.

With that being said I decided that I would try and create (time willing) several things for my upcoming wedding. I am excited to share the ups and downs of such projects because I have found so many helpful sites, sharing is where it's at. I think DIY's can help with brides-to-be on budgets but also bring a personal element to such a special and personal event. With the help of the blog-o-sphere ( Where there is such a wealth info from talented people) anything is possible, even if you don't consider yourself crafty ;).

Here on some things that have inspired me so far.

1. Soft and feminine yet they offer a bold touch to any ceremony or reception. These kissing balls are extremely doable.

2. Extenuate with these delicate garlands. They will accompany any style without taking over the show.

3. Why not invite with a little character and little touch of whimsy. I think DIY or at least partial DIY invites are the way to go. I don't know if I am up for this challenge but I certainly like this result.

4. Since I am going for the 'Shabby Chic' look, it is touches like these that will help create that feel. I was soo excited to find this tutorial for antiqued votives. I share her "squeal-induced" sentiments.

This is what I have so far, may the hunt continue!
